Biking

The greater Rochester area is a hub for bicyclists. On any given day, bike riders can be seen throughout the town and on our local nature trails. Rochester Hills’ Bloomer Park is home to the only Velodrome in the state of Michigan which features bicycle racing and a riding track.

Stony Creek Metro Park provides many biking opportunities. Bicycle around Stony Creek Lake on the paved 6.2 mile (10K) hike/bike trail. Mountain bikers and hikers enjoy 14 miles of hilly, heavily wooded dirt trails that traverse the southwest side of the park. The Michigan Mountain Bike Association helps keep this area groomed. Helmets required on mountain bike trails. Bikes are available for rent.

The Paint Creek Trail and newly re-paved Clinton River Trail connect cyclists to several surronding communities including Lake Orion, Auburn Hills, Macomb and many more.
